Tagwa’s #Rescueversary
Exactly two years ago, orphaned elephant Tagwa came into our care after she was found alone by a community on the slopes of Mount Kenya, seeking out company and help. Covered in distinctive dark fuzzy hair all over her body – a bit like a protective biological blanket – she was worryingly thin and very weak when our team reached her, but thanks to a combination of IV fluids, specialist formula milk and specially picked browse – all provided by her carers – she gradually put on weight and began to thrive.
