I am a Zoologist and award-winning nature photographer and filmmaker from Lincolnshire, mostly obsessed with anything that flies in the sky or swims in the ocean!
The natural world has always been my number one passion, inspired hugely by natural history documentaries as a child and by the birds in my back garden. I want to turn my passion into a career and I’m currently completing an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at the University of the West of England in partnership with the BBC.
At the University of Sheffield, I completed a research Masters on the behavioural ecology of promiscuity in cooperatively breeding birds. My highlight being a month spent studying long-tailed tits in the field.
To kick-start a journey into a career in television, Billy is currently completing an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at the University of the West of England in partnership with the BBC.
As well as a life long passion for birds, I love marine life and am a qualified PADI Dive Master, with experience in diving in the UK and the tropics.
