Billy Clapham is a zoology graduate and award-winning natural history photographer and filmmaker from rural Lincolnshire, currently working on the BBC ‘watches’.
At the University of Sheffield, Billy completed a research Masters on the behavioural ecology of promiscuity in cooperatively breeding birds. His highlight being a month spent studying long-tailed tits in the field.
As well as a life long passion for birds, Billy loves marine life and is a qualified PADI Dive Master, with experience in diving in the UK and the tropics.
Spending most of 2018 making a short film on curlews, Billy completed an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at UWE Bristol, leading him into the world of natural history TV, joining the Winterwatch team and soon to be researcher on Springwatch.
Billy will be showing his short film & will do a talk about curlews and an update on how the curlew project is doing along with a Q&A
