Being a bit of a thrill seeker on the (very) quiet, I have been thinking of different ways of raising more funds for to help build the chimps sanctuary.
Since arriving in Liberia just over three years ago to take care of chimps abandoned by the New York Blood Centre after they had finished experimenting on them, orphaned chimps started arriving at Jimmy & Jenny Desmonds Liberian home, last week the FORTY SECOND chimp arrived
a little boy with wire wounds around his neck & waist.
They have the land, they just need to construct the buildings ~ quarantine quarters, vet clinic, offices etc !!
SO
Having looked into it, it seems you generally raise the cost of the jump, AS WELL AS the money for the charity through sponsorship
(unless of course you are happy to pay for the jump yourself)
The company I am looking at charges £215 for the jump, they state that any charities they have registered generally expect to receive £100+ so you would need to raise a minimum of £315, of course I & the chimps would be over the moon if that amount was smashed (this is of course each person)
I am waiting to hear from them as to how many people can go on a session, if they provide footage etc
I live in Bristol, so the jump will take place somewhere in the West of England
Just putting the feelers out to see if anyone would like to jump with me to raise money to build the babies a home
My little love Gaia & her orphaned siblings thinks you should !!

Awe that is sad to read, I hope this conservation you build for the chimps makes a greater difference. I would be honoured to assist with creating a peaceful home them (minus the funds). It sounds like an exceptional approach your doing for them.
