I came across Richard when is his book ‘Cuddle Me ~ Kill Me’ came up for sale on the Born Free Foundation Facebook page.
I bought the book & proceeded to read it on my long bus journeys to work. It opened my eyes to something I had never heard of, lion farming in South Africa. Richards books start with the stories of actual animals, in this case Obi & Oliver, rescued from a lion farm, then he goes into the facts & figures of the topic. After reading the book I went & volunteered for two weeks at Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary where Obi & Oliver now live out their best captive lives.
Richard spoke at #TEAMEARTH after our screening of ‘Blood Lions’ & gave us one of the first screenings of his trailer to his upcoming film ‘Lions, Bullets & Bones’, the film that we shall be showing at #TEAMEARTH2020, he also will be part of the panel, so you will be able to ask him just what it’s like to research such a vile industry.

Whilst at #TEAMEARTH Richard got chatting to Lush official pod caster Charlie Moores & they did a pod cast together

I love reading Richards books, they are a straight to the point, no nonsense read & I can’t wait for his new book about pangolins, the most trafficked species in the world, which he is researching now. I wholly encourage you to get yourself some of his books, he also writes about sharks, elephants & rhino, I am sure you will enjoy them & will be able to get a signed copy at the event !!
Thank you Richard for coming, allowing us to give one of the first screenings of your film & talking once again !!
