This REALLY grinds my gears, I have two horses, they used to live in a field which had a public pathway right through the middle, the public think it’s ok to let their dogs sh!t on the verges & not pick it up, if they do pick it up they often hang it from tree branches, some even throw it into the horse field. Horses have been destroyed because YOU chucked your bag of sh!t into their field & they ingested it.
I have had MANY arguments with people whom I have caught feeding my horses bread, carrots, mints & other ‘treats’ even just grass BECAUSE ~ you don’t know my horses therefore you don’t know if they have allergies or restricted diets due to health or weight issues, there is such a thing as ‘starvation’ paddocks, it’s not cruel, if a horse it too overweight it can get a thing called laminitus ~ laminitus can cause the bones in the hoof to break through the hoof & the horse has to be destroyed.
So you see, there are sooooo many reasons why YOU should not feed other peoples horses ~ this poor little pony could still die if the potato gets stuck in her gut ~ because you chose to feed her !!
But think of it this way, if I stood at your garden fence chucking food over to your dog ~ would you be happy about that ???? NOPE you would be LIVID !!
DO NOT FEED HORSES THAT DO NOT BELONG TO YOU BECAUSE you JUST MIGHT KILL THEM !!!!!!!!!!
